At first I had a hearty laugh, then I started thinking about the current state of politics in the U.S. When you consider the Delay goon squad sent to provide not so kindly distraction to the supporters of Nick Lampson at his press conference, this isn't such a reach. Facism isn't a state of a nation, it's a state of mind and it grows and spreads, much like a malignant tumour wherever social justice is being assaulted, subverted and/or denied. That's my thought, and I'm sticking to it. It's growing right here in my own country, and I'm very worried about the long term consequences. Divide a nation - is there a better way to to control and conquer it? It's all detailed in Goebbel's play book.
Work's over, but back at it tomorrow, and sunday and....I get Wednesday and next Saturday off. Whee, retirement in this day and age is so much fun, not to mention the intellectual stimulation. Rant over. I'm whining in the Wine Shoppe.

And it always begins with subversion of language, whatheheh, it seems to me. Quickest route to subversion of thought....I wish Marks were here to order and expound on my thoughts....

Fascists are awesome, with all their fancy regalia, banners, silly walks, and protruding suborbital ridges. All that and those glassed over, just a bit too close together, siamese cat stupid eyes along with the vestigial penii and/or clitorii. Seriously, this ship of fools would be frightening, no, terrifying, if it weren't for the sheer enormity of their incompetence. I trust that gravity will topple this kleptocratic corpulation of it's own singularity-like weight before it reaches critical mass. That's the only thing I ever pray about- well, and that I never inadvertently watch a movie featuring Tom Cruise.

Good comment Joe, though you give Siamese cats too little credit... and you're coming in loud and "clear" on T.C. But I still like "Risky Business".
