One can only wonder what was going through Goya's mind when he painted this. The look of resignation on the face of the accused, the look of anguish on the monk and the townspeople... Seems appropriate today, doesn't it.
I really believe that the atrocities of war and conflict should be broadcast far and wide, so that everyone on every side can see the human toll it takes.

Yes, I did and thanks. I was worried. You and Libby are my mainstays, and I was worried that you were going to be too busy and distracted to post, or there were other more nefarious reasons. If you only have time to do it once per week, that's okay, but I'm beginning to care for your wellbeing, and I was getting worried. Just let me know, then I'll be fine. I'm a sentimental kind o'gal.
